As a sweeping campus initiative that began in 2003, Common Ground depends upon the will and commitment of all members of our community to make our campus more diverse and inclusive. The Common Ground initiative:

• Includes the Office of Common Ground, which provides support and resources to community members working to make our community more diverse and inclusive
• Features a University-wide committee of students, staff, and faculty called the Common Ground Action Committee, which monitors campus progress on its diversity goals and makes recommendations for improved policy and practice.
